Beta 3 letöltés: http://www.flamevault.com/~siggwin/real ... tbeta3.zip
Reality Enhancement Mod Beta 3 by Solecist
THIS IS STILL A BETA because I change so much every time and some of these changes are still largely untested.
Please report any bugs you happen upon!
INSTALLATION:
THIS MOD IS ONLY SUPPORTED FOR PATCH 1.0001.
Unzip to C rogram FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl, then open fsgame.ltx and change the second line to match this:
$game_data$ = false| false| $fs_root$| gamedata
I HIGHLY recommend turning the crosshairs OFF in your options.
MAKE SURE you do not have a Desert Eagle that you silenced with the silencer addon in your inventory before using this mod.
Load up your game, remove the silencer from the DE, then install this mod.
If you don't start a new game, at least start a new save. If you find you don't like
the mod you may not be able to go back to games that you saved with my mod active.
UNINSTALLATION:
Remove the gamedata folder from your STALKER directory.
CHANGELOG:
Changes from beta 2:
- Damages and wound scales for NPCs tweaked. NPCs should be only a tiny bit tougher.
- The pm weapon file is now back in the mod. NO IDEA how it got deleted in the last version!
- SVD/SVU tracer bug fixed.
- Artifacts made more useful thanks to underwhelmed. More artifact balancing in the future.
- Not as much ammo drops, and tracer ammo should only drop from npcs who are using it. This needs testing.
- Armor degrades at about half its former speed.
- Maximum range AI will shoot at you raised.
- Silenced weapon detection! I think I figured this out. You have to lower the volume of the sound in the weapon configs. The problem
being it actually lowers the physical sound you hear! Ridiculous! Anyway, enemies should be less likely to detect you when using a silenced weapon.
On the downside, the silenced sounds won't be as loud as they should be.
- Money system revamped completely again! The numbers are much lower, and are more consistent with USD rather than RU. Some of you with
saves later in the game may find yourself even more rich, though. I would suggest blowing it all on vodka, or something.
- Weapon costs balanced to their real-life values, or to my closest estimates of such.
Traders will still charge more than base price, of course, so don't be surprised if it seems more expensive than it should be.
- Prices on everything else lowered significantly or balanced. Ammo is mucho cheap.
- Quest cash rewards at an all time low.
- Iron sight zoom removed for pistols/db shotgun and lowered slightly for all other weapons.
- Many more fragments (70-ish rather than 10-20) in grenades, as it seems the fragments are mostly what kills you ingame as well as in real life.
- Many more weapons can now use silencers, scopes and grenade launchers than could before. However, the silencer
is no longer compatible with the Desert Eagle. If you have a silenced Desert Eagle in your inventory your game WILL crash.
- Stalkers will now pay less for artifacts than traders.
- LR300, Colt, and Val/Vintorez sounds changed.
- Fire distances and RPMs tweaked, thanks entirely to Gohda for his settings.
- Stalkers will now rarely sell/drop artifacts.
- Darker nights by badmagic was put in and then removed due to it not working for me, hehe. My mod is completely compatible with his
if you still want to use it, though.
- Ragdoll weight increased from 80 to 90.
- Artifact spawns are now very uncommon, yet lots of the artifacts ingame are not even spawned by
anomalies, so they will still be all over the place, just less around anomalies. Wish I could figure this one out!
- Adjusted AI detection. They are not nearly as stupid as in beta 2.
- Updated weapon names to Nonwonderdog's version, as it is a bit more comprehensive.
- All traders sell silencers.
- Good weapons sold by traders are a little bit more rare.
- All npcs now bleed slightly. It is possible to shoot someone in a sensitive area (think: thigh) and have them bleed to death.
- Armored multipliers have been lowered in key areas. Exo suit has boosted coverage in the chest, upper arm, and thigh areas.
All other armors have better chest protection except for the leather stuff, which has none.
- Unique weapons that have been modified to use other ammo types now can use tracer rounds.
Changes from beta 1:
- Completely compatible (to my knowledge) with patch 1.0001.
- New silenced sounds.
- Damagearmor multipliers changed slightly.
- Player made a little tougher. Player/npc wound areas heavily modified from original.
- Weapon damages balanced.
- Weapon bullet velocities balanced.
- Weapon accuracy balanced.
- Blast radius raised and fragments thrown doubled for all grenades.
- Tracer rounds are now green, in true Russian form.
- AP ammunition now has tracer variations available.
- More random npcs will use tracer ammo.
- AI wounded animations should occur more often when the AI is shot.
- Quest rewards have been lowered even further.
- All non-AP rounds have been given slight penetration, depending on the caliber.
- Nonwonderdogs's real weapon names has been integrated. As I had to edit the same file he has, I figured this would
be best, since just about everyone will be using a similar mod anyway.
- Monster attack power has been increased to offset the weapon damage changes.
- All weapons jam much less.
- Shotgun spread decreased for all shotguns.
- Stalkers pay much better prices than traders for artifacts and other misc. items.
- AI hearing range has been lowered slightly for weapons firing and npc movement.
- Artifacts do not drop as often off of the dead.
WHAT IT DOES:
This mod drastically changes STALKER gameplay style. The modifications are as follows:
- All gun sounds have been changed to higher quality, more realistic variations.
- All bullet hit and whiz-by sounds have been changed.
- Damage multipliers have been increased. Head/body shots are twice as deadly, while certain limb shots have been lowered slightly.
- Multipliers for armor have also been tweaked to more realistic settings. Later stage armors have good chest protection, while exo suits
protect the chest, upper arms and thigh areas.
- Damage for all weapons has been increased. Weapons of like ammo now have similar damages.
- All npcs now bleed slightly.
- Bullet speed has been lowered or balanced for all weapons. I calculated the speed by taking the real-world muzzle velocities of each caliber and dividing
it by two. This provides for a more satisfying combat experience, as I felt the original bullet speeds were too fast for the player to ever
have to account for bullet drop, even in the longer ranged battles (excluding the vintar, which has had its speed boosted slightly)
- Tracers have been removed from all normal ammo types. A tracer version of all ammo types is now available from traders and
can be found on the dead. AI group leaders and some snipers will use tracer ammo in combat.
- Tracer rounds are now green, in true Russian form.
- Bullet kills will no longer cause corpse ragdoll to fly backwards. The dead will now slump over realistically when shot.
- Bandages no longer heal. They will now only stop bleeding.
- First aid kits will no longer stop bleeding.
- The amount of money received for sold merchandise and for quests has been DRASTICALLY lowered.
- Costs for everything have been almost doubled. This includes ammo, weapons, armor, misc. items...everything.
Money is much harder to come by.
- Traders sell ALL ammo types - some harder to find than others. They also sell many more weapons than before, however
with the money changes these should not be easily affordable.
- Traders sell silencers.
- Many more small changes that I can't think of at the moment!
NEAR NEXT VERSION:
Anomalies will either be made invisible or the beeping will be removed. Still haven't decided on this.
More realistic weapon recoil. This desperately needs to be changed for some guns. Next version.
BUGS:
I hope to fix a sound bug, where 3rd person sounds play much less loudly than they did with the originals. if you know
why this might be happening with the OGG sound format, let me know. I get an error in the console that says "invlaid ogg-comment"
This error does not cause any other issue and only appears in the console upon loading.
If your game crashes while using my mod with version 1.0001, please check your crash log, which is usually available here:
