Pretty much any game released lately also targeted people whose hobby is to collect videogames. Of course, what we're talking about are collector editions. And S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is no exception to that rule. Already with the first part, 'Shadow of Chernobyl', there had been different versions of collectors edition game, containing different extras, trinkets and other cool stuff. As far as Clear Sky is concerned, there has been a confirmed Russian collectors edition, along with a German version and now we also have a confirmation of a Polish version of collectors edition S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, the contents of which will differ from their Russian and German counterparts.
At the first glance, one can immediately spot a stylish S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky messenger bag that we would just love to take with us on our exploration trips to the Zone. Unfortunately this bag, along with a Clear Sky lighter, patches of some Clear Sky fractions and a t-shirt are reserved exclusively for the Polish buyers of the collectors edition.
But! Worry not, our beloved members, for there is a plentitude of wonderful content in the German version of the collectors edition as well: a high-quality metal box, a 288-pages S.T.A.L.K.E.R. novel entitled "Apocalypse", an aluminium pin with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. artwork and logo, as well as a bonus DVD disc, containing a soundtrack, the "Making Of" footage and artworks, the latter appearing in a book form with the Polish version. An A2-size poster with a detailed map of the Zone is part of Polish, German and Russian editions.
ezek szerint a lengyelbne is van még több extra miért nem rendeltek onnan ?
meg valami patch-röl is csicseregnek a madarak
Those of you who regularly buy games have most likely made acquaintance with what seems to be a rather popular phenomenon lately in the world of game development: "Paid beta test."
Quite often, the deadlines cause conflicts with contract-set goals between the developers and the publishers. 'Level A cannot be integrated within the given time due to staff reasons.' or 'Character B has been removed from the game due to time constraints.' - such problems tend to result in patch development and deployment for a content-lacking and unfinished game, such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl - at the hands of THQ, the publisher.
And it would seem that the same fate is to befall the halls of GSC again with their prequel to Shadow of Chernobyl. According to some rumors from the spanish S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Community, work on first patch for Clear Sky is already underway, and to be released one day prior to the release of Clear sky itself, on August 28th. Contents of the patch remain a mystery at this point, due to the fact that these informations, until confirmed by GSC Game World or Deep Silver, are nothing more and nothing less than rumors.
We will keep our eyes open and keep you posted on the development of the situation.
